New holiday movie filmed in multiple Chicago suburbs debuts Friday

A Christmas movie premiering soon on Hulu will feature not one, but several Chicago suburbs.

“Christmas on the Ranch,” scheduled for release this week, may be set in a small town in Ohio, but the movie was actually shot in Chicago and the northwest suburbs.

It is the third Christmas movie from Chicago-based Very Merry Entertainment, which was also behind previous Christmas movies “Reporting for Christmas” and “Christmas with Felicity.”
