AMARILLO, Texas (KEYU) -Amarillo city officials have released the schedule of services for the weeks of Christmas and New Years.
There will be several closures and scheduling changes for city facilities.
City Hall will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Amarillo City Transit will operate on a Saturday schedule on Christmas Eve. It will be closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
Amarillo Public Library locations will close at 6 pm on December 23 and 31.
All libraries will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
The Ross Rogers and Comanche Trail golf resorts will be closed on Christmas Day. They will be open all other days weather permitting.
The holiday schedule for the Solid Waste Department for both weeks is as follows:
- For residential customers, all routes will be picked up as normal.
- For commercial customers, Wednesday routes will be served on Thursday (December 26 and January 2).
- Weed sites will be closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays (December 25 and 26, January 1 and 2)
- The landfill will be closed on Wednesday (December 25 and January 1) and will reopen on Thursday.
