Amarillo man sentenced to prison for secretly recording women in bathrooms

AMARILLO, Texas (KEYU) -An Amarillo man was sentenced to prison Monday for secretly recording women in bathrooms.

According to the Randall County District Attorney, Jonathan Dale Holloway pleaded guilty to eight different offenses of invasive visual recording.

Authorities say that in exchange for Holloway pleading guilty, the state recommended the maximum allowable punishment of two years in prison in each case and a $10,000 fine.

Additionally, one of the sentences was stacked on top of the others, meaning Holloway will have to serve four years in prison before being released.

According to officials, Holloway committed felony invasive visual recording by secretly recording multiple people on different occasions while they were separated in bathrooms.

The Randall County District Attorney says five of the numerous young female victims spoke after the deposition and described the violation of their privacy.

The women explained that they thought Holloway was their friend when they accepted invitations to swim at his house or joined him on a trip with their church group.

According to officials, all of the women unknowingly changed clothes in bathrooms where Holloway had secretly placed a camera. The crimes came to light after Holloway uploaded the videos to a pornographic website.

The case involved multiple jurisdictions and a complex investigation led by the FBI.
