BINGHAMTON, NY (WBNG) — The City of Binghamton Police Department Detective Bureau announced another arrest in connection with the Drive-by shooting in Mirabito That happened in February 2024.
The Binghamton Police Department said it arrested Tayshon Smith, 20, of Brooklyn, New York. Smith was charged with second-degree murder.
On Jan. 7, the department said officers had located and arrested Smith in Chesterfield, VA, at the request of Binghamton police detectives, the U.S. Marshals Service and the U.S. Regional Fugitive Task Force. Capital Area.
Smith was wanted for the murder of Qualyn Terry.
The department said Smith is currently detained in Chesterfield and is awaiting extradition to New York state.
The investigation into the homicide of Qualyn Terry is still ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Binghamton Police Detective Bureau at (607) 772-7080.
