During his successful bid for a second term in the White House, Triumph delighted many by promising to reveal more about the assassination of former US commander in chief John F. Kennedy, who was shot dead in his motorcade while driving through Dallas, Texason November 22, 1963.
Lee Harvey Oswald, a US Navy veteran accused by authorities of shooting Kennedy from nearby. Texas School Book Repository Building, was shot dead live on television by the nightclub’s owner, Jack Ruby, while he was being transported by police and before he could stand trial.
On the day of the gun attack, Oswald shouted to reporters: “I’m just a scapegoat!” (in other words, he was blamed even though he was not responsible), and died before he could go into more detail before a jury, depriving Americans of the full story of what happened.
